What are the different types of tuberculosis tests?
The two primary types of tuberculosis tests are Tuberculin Skin Tests (TST) and TB blood tests, also known as interferon-gamma release assays (IGRAs). The TST involves injecting a small amount of tuberculin fluid into the skin, while IGRAs measure how the immune system reacts to the bacteria in the blood.
